I wanted control of my own time.I knew real estate investing would be my ticket out.I bought my first investment property in April 2020 and left Wall Street in June 2020. I now invest in student housing in Connecticut and operate a mortgage brokerage. The portfolio consists of 15 units, 65 student beds and over $1,000,000 in rental income per year.I have bought homes on-market and off-market. I have financed purchases with conventional loans, FHA loans and hard-money. I have BRRRR'd and used equity in my properties to expand my portfolio.I want to help others who feel the same way I did AND are looking to build a real estate portfolio.The ultimate goal is control of your time and doing what you want to do. I think real estate is the best way to get there.
